Catherine Anne

 Catherine Anne O'Hara OC (born on March 4, 1954)is a Canadian-American actress comedian, writer, and actress. O'Hara has received a variety of awards including the Genie Award, a Golden Globe Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. She also won two Primetime Emmy Awards and six Canadian Screen Awards. In 2018, O'Hara was elected as an Officer of Canada. She was also awarded the Governor General’s Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Medal in 2020. O'Hara began her career as an actor in 1974 when she was in The Second City, an Improv comedy group located in Toronto. With John Candy and Dan Aykroyd, she was part the main cast of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). In the following year, O'Hara and Candy began working on the sketch comedy series Second City Television (1976-1984), where she drew the attention of critics for both her work as a comic actress as well as a writer, winning an award called the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for an Variety Series in 1981. O'Hara was included in the brand-new Second City artistic Advisory Board that was headed by Stephen Colbert. Other members of the board included Dwayne Colbert. Tina Fey. Keegan–Michael Key. Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Jane Lynch. Tim Meadows. Peter Murrieta. Suzy Nakamura. Sam Richardson. Jeff Richmond. Jason Sudeikis.
