Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn, who was born August 19 1965, is an American actress. She is also a producer and director. She is best known for her role as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick won an Emmy Award in 2010 and she also won a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. The show ended on August 13, 2012, following the completion of the seventh season. Sedgwick is also known for her role as a regular on Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick received an Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline Wuntch in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film credits include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) as well as What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). She also starred in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter Patricia Rosenwald who is an educator therapy for families, a venture capitalist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech Therapist. Her mother was Jewish was of English and Episcopalian descent. Sedgwick declares herself Jewish, and she has said that she participates in Passover seders.
